Title: August 16th Hunt at the state land

I could hear the reds making their noise's like crazy but only was able to get a shot at one in the bread basket but it was a quick lethal shot from what I seen.  Also got a little plinking in too 8)

Hi Wayne.

That was a... Great... 35 yard shot... on that Red... with your Avenger. 
Especially so, with all the leaves & foliage still on the trees & the undergrowth.
You were quite skillfull & fortunate in being able to get a decent shot at that Red.
Successfully retrieving it, was quite an accomplishment too. 
Your target shooting was very good as well. 
I noticed that you had used that same pine, for some previous target shooting.

Hang in there Wayne. The big game squirrels will be ready in a few more weeks. Been scouting out the nut tree locations. Looks to be another good year. They have begun cutting acorns around here for the last couple weeks. Made sure I got time off work for the opener!
