Well, not really they. It was just one guy making a dad joke because I only shot a bug. But that's the cool part!
I stepped out yesterday to practice shooting offhand while melting (felt like 109°F) when I noticed a dragon fly sitting on the power line overhead. Assuming said quarry was in-season, I took aim, squeezed the trigger, and watched it spin and fall to the ground! I was grinning like an idiot as I headed out to recover the body and confirm the kill.
I took a few pictures to document my luck success.

That really was a good shot! Nice accurate rifle you have there.

...with a springer no less... *ThumbsUp*

Jentry, that’s a heck of a shot on a teeny tiny target with a huge incline!

Sweet shooting! Down here we have a huge locust that the locals call Lubbers or Georgia thumpers. I shoot them with BBs in a Crosman 2100. They are about 2 1/2 inches long and as thick as your finger. A much easier target than your Dragonfly!

Thanks everyone! I was certainly proud of the shot and wanted to document getting lucky. Now the challenge is to duplicate this shot and see how much skill I have. I definitely feel ready for squirrel season.
