Title: Daisy Museums business practice
Post by: Longbob on August 09, 2020, 07:38:40 PM
Anyone ever deal with this outfit?

Reason I ask is they appear to be the only vendor who has the 8 shot rotary clips for the Daisy 408 / 4408 /008 in stock at a reasonable price. (Ebay has them for a ridiculous price - $12 for 3 of them plus $8.99 shipping).

Thing is, they require an affidavit in order to do business w/ them.

Quote:
Orders for which an affidavit is not received within 10 days of placing the order will automatically be cancelled.

Is this customary for vendors? Or, am I being too cautious?

Welp, turns out that affidavit may only be needed for buying airguns from the Daisy Museum. I signed up there and ordered 2 sets of the Daisy 408 rotary clips I wanted. I'll see if they get shipped w/out any snags.

Those Daisy 408's are gas hogs. 48 shots to a CO2 cartridge and the last 8 are slow. Actually, the 1st 32 shots have the most velocity. Keeping 5 clips at a time for 40 shots is the best option. 1 in the pistol & 4 spares.

I'm also going to use Toms mod for it:

And put a shim in it to get an extra 50 fps out of it per shot ... 480 fps / 7.33 gr = 3.7 fpe.

My clips from the Daisy Museum arrived fast. Ordered them on Saturday and they arrived Tuesday. Even better, they gave me a $10 refund on shipping.
