Title: Beeman P17 on the way!
Post by: bryan123 on July 16, 2020, 11:09:36 AM
Hi, we went to the Pro Shop at New England Airguns yesterday to purchase a red dot to use for informal plinking  with our 717, 853 and 901.

On a whim I decided to order a Beeman P17 which will arrive in a few days.  I already know that I may need to use some loctite (blue) to solifify the rear sight.  Since up til now we've been shooting a 717, what can we expect from the P17 and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm sure you will like the accuracy and they are not pellet fussy, although the wadcutters take a little practice to load fast.
Keep an eye on the rear sight pin. sometimes the pin will walk sideways over time. Don't clamp it on your nipple when you cock it.

Thanks, I heard about the nipple and the rear sight.  Framingham... have you been to NE Airguns?

Yes, I was an annual member at New England Airguns for 2 years. My membership ran out and I haven't bothered to renew due to Covid. I still buy my pellets and accessories there. John and Zee are really nice people.
