I am hoping all the reviews and in depth runs on this gun do not disappoint. I pulled the trigger on a .25 cal and awaiting delivery. Seems like a lot of gun for the low price point. I know they cut some corners like the stock and receiver as being a mainly plastic outer housing but to have these features it has is either a quick low introductory price that once C19 restrictions lift it will go north in price or it will sputter out.
I can see this as being the next Marauder which I also once owned. That was a great and accurate rifle too for the money. I do hope someone comes out with a nicer syn-stock or even a nice thumb-hole laminate eventually to compliment it.

When are you scheduled to receive it?
-
I pre-ordered the .22 version. Looks like they keep pushing the in stock date back (presently 7/20) because of Customs not releasing them.
-
I ordered one in .25 cal and was told 7/7/20 hoping to see it soon. a lot of places say 7/20/20 wait and see I guess. Reviews looked good

Shades of the Hammer? 🤔 Hope not.

Just saw this on Baker Airguns site.***This listing is to PRE-ORDER the Air Venturi Avenger***
****Due to overwhelming demand for this rifle…If you ordered the .22 or .25 cal before 07/07/2020, it will ship by the end of July 2020. Any .22 or .25 cal ordered on or after 07/07/2020 will ship by the end of August 2020. The .177 cal will ship by the end of July 2020. Very sorry for the delay.****

In two weeks if the estimate is right.

Pyramid air as of now:
Estimated in-stock date 09-15-20
Oof....I am assuming that's for those that make pre-orders NOW and not those that have had them in...at least I hope. Glad I am not on that hype train ;)

All I can say is the hype over these sure is substantial !!! Glad that I've already bought the Nova Vista Liberty on the warranty free deal for $100 from ATI. Too bad they don't have them anymore like they did to begin with because I really have been enjoying my Liberty a lot. If Nova Vista has ironed out the problems they had previously with the Liberty I think these guns will be really nice, the only thing that doesn't appeal to me is the flimsy hollow polymer stock, I'd much more prefer wood any day.

I doubt that the Avenger will ever "replace" the Marauder. Apples and oranges. The Avenger is most definitely a price point PCP, whereas the Marauder is not intended as an entry level PCP.

Well 8 years ago the marauder was my entry level, I think my bundle from PA was $750, came with an extra magazine and a scope and pump.
But times have changed, so many more options available.

I too got the 25 marauder for my first-ever PCP, if I had stopped right there I would have not been disappointed, but alas I fell down the rabbit hole, over a dozen pcp's later and that original synrod is still one of the most accurate and reliable rifle I own.

There is no end to the obsession, the marauder is a great rifle, and the AV Avenger will likely be an entry level into the addiction.

Since the constant push back and fact I had a M-Rod in the past and it was a tack driver, and I mean a serious tack driver, I called PA to cancel the AVA and now substituted another M-Rod .25 instead...LOL

Yes, that was the case...eight years ago. In fact, the Marauder is still kinda in the running for my entry PCP, only because it comes with a wood stock. The synthetic stock is my sticking point on the Avenger. But I'm not convinced that I want to go over to the dark side at all. Time will tell, I reckon.

Funny how that works out.
My two most satisfying rifles are:
Hammerli 177 CO˛ ($266)
GAMO Urban 22 PCP ($177 Black Friday)
My two most expensive PCPs:
Brocock Bantam HiLite 177 ($900)
FX Dreampup 22 ($1300)
My 2 most expensive were not fundamentally more accurate or satisfying than my 2 least expensive.
Go figure. I guess it's a tribute to just how good an "entry level" air rifle can be these days. Knowing what I know now, after 3.5 yrs with air guns, I'd only own the Hammerli and the Urban. I might buy the AV Avenger. We'll see as it gets into the hands of regular owners.
