I'm reassembling my Benjamin Bulldog .357 after installing a depinger but I can't seem to get the trigger to work properly. When the safety is on the trigger is properly locked; when the safety is off and the gun is uncocked the trigger slops around; when the gun is cocked and the safety is off the trigger pulls but doesn't release the hammer, almost like it doesn't have enough pull length.
Can anyone see if there is anything wrong with my trigger linkage? I tried it this way and with the black plastic piece adjacent to the spring in the linkage back behind the retaining clip in the side panel, but neither worked.

With out taking mine apart to verify, looks like you need to put the black round disc thats behind the spring in the retaining notch on the stock, but I could be mistaken.

After watching again I'm sure thats whats wroung ,the spring just behind the trigger has that black collar on the end ,it needs to be captured in that notch in the stock thats about in the middle of the spring

Thanks for the reply! I actually tried that already, I'm assuming the trigger should still operate correctly without air in the cylinder? This is what you mean, right?

I was thinking the other black collar ,but that might be right, have you tried to fire it like that?

I did and it didn't work, but thanks to your suggestion I figured it out! I didn't realize the trigger is attached to the linkage by a threaded end - when I was dis- or reassembling I must have unthreaded it a bit, reducing the length of pull to the point it didn't release the hammer. Screwed it in a bit and now it fires! Thanks a lot and have a safe and Happy 4th!
