Title: Can the safety be removed from a Hatsan at44

 I just received one and the safety is broken.. I don't use safety's and usually remove them anyhow.. Any guidance would be appreciated..

 I removed it and disassembled the rifle to drop out the trigger group.. The broken part of the safety fell out..  I then removed the associated levers ...  Assembled and glued the broken safety in with hot glue.. Works great now...

I removed a link lever from mine, so that it isn't reset when you cock the gun.... I can still set and release it manually if desired.... I hate automatic safeties....

 Ya Bob they are a pain in the butt...  All my shooting is from a bench now, so no safety's on mine anyway... The safety bar on this one is broken at the end so no safety at all.. Definitely bad metal..
