Just got word my Custom shroud and barrel have been shipped. If I can get the gun back together and it holds air I will do a follow up report. The main idea was to make the gun more back yard friendly but apparently the shroud also deadens vibration and eliminates the barrel band to make the barrel true free floating. I will be doing a sound check and accuracy testing after I break in the barrel. Follow up report in a week or so.

I look forward to seeing what you find as far as noise goes, and what it looks like. When I first got mine I intended to do a shroud, even bought a carbon fiber tube to do it. But, I just never got up enough courage to cut the pickle off and start. It shoots so well I don’t want to risk messing it up. Now if I had access to a lathe for an afternoon... I’d have myself a nice fully shrouded Urban.

I'll never know the before and after because I never shot it. Was too loud for my neighbors. Yeah, no way I wanted to mess with the pickle from reading about it the pickle is glued into grooves in the barrel. You have to grind it off.

Mine makes a world of difference :) Excuse the color stock repaint in progress :)

Also Mike, it does look very good, what did you do about the stop for the fill port protector?

Hi no I did it myself some time back using some pretty simple parts...

I am not sure what you mean by stop, but I drilled a hold in mine so all I need to do is rotate to fill...

you did a great job. With the stock Urban the barrel band acts as a stop for the fill port cover. How is your accuracy and what velocity are you shooting? Thanks

Ahh yes sorry forgot have had the barrel band removed for so long :) JSB 14.35 H&N FTT or HN Terminators 1/2 inch group at 25-30 yards 3/4 to 1 at 50 yards shooting around 785 to 800 sweet spot for shot count...

It looks great, even the detail in the angled vent holes. Did you use a lathe to make parts? I’d really like to see the internal parts.

My shroud, one inch longer overall. Very quiet. I also used some .001 brass shim stock to wrap the barrel where it fits into the receiver. Two more grub screws on each side to secure. I've purposely knocked it around with no change in poi. The fill valve started leaking a tiny bit so I installed a quick fill. While at it I bored the assembly as much as was reasonable for a gain in airtube volume.
I have many, many airguns but this one is my normal go to.
