Refurbished Crosman 9-1377RM 1 36.90
Airguns - 1377C American
Classic Air Pistol
Crosman 0290 Red Dot PY-A-193 1 17.99
Sight
Crosman 459MT Dovetail PY-A-190 1 10.90
Intermounts
Subtotal 65.79
Shipping 10.86
Total 76.65
So, w/mounts and Red Dot sight...$76.65 I thought that was a good deal. Don't know much about the sight, but
for a starter sight I thought 18.00 was fair. Give me you thoughts.
See this thread for pics and targets.... http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,17604.0.html (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,17604.0.html)
9-4-11: Well, the Red Dot & mounts are going back. I just can't seem to see the dot unless I am in a totally dark room. But overall.....Nice pistol for 36.90 :D :D :D

I don't know anything about that sight but you can't go wrong with a 1377!

OK as too the Crosman red dot the screws for windage and elevation can be loose. Once you have it sighted in put a dab of fingernail polish at the screw heads to keep them in place. Crosman intermounts work best with the filler strip they used to use but a strip of inner-tube under each one will keep it from rocking and change the screws to hardend ones as the ones they use will snap before you can get them tight enough.

Great advise, Do you have a picture of a 1377C w/ this setup?

guns good, the red dot is ok but a little big, the mounts didnt work for me at all. but for a start you should be set, once you start looking at all the mods for this gun im sure you wont be using anything you bought soon. just to fun building them up

Excellent choice, i.e., the 1377C.
You may want to consider adding mods. There are many.
Good starters are a cocking arm pin to reduce wobble.

A steel breech, available from Crosman, is a stable platform for mounting a scope. Longer barrels are available too. The trigger can be improved by lightly polishing it & the sear, & doing work on the spring. You can increase the power with a FT (flat top) piston & valve. Search the forum for details.
A Crosman 1389 forearm will make pumping easier & reduce the possibility of pinched fingers, and a Crosman shoulder stock. The 1389 forearm is $9.45. The shoulder stock, as a Crosman parts order, costs $10.87. Otherwise, it costs $26.59.

PS For 36.00 I thought , what the heck :) Had to buy it.

Yea, that is a good deal, especially if you are going to mod it...

Bildio, What scope is on the Black Forearmed one? Crosman is out of steel breeches, any other sources for Crosman breeches? With a scope is it good for vermon at say 15-20 yards or stick with iron sights? Thanks, I appreciate your help.

0351 Vet, ya, Crosman is sold out still! again!
Crooked Barn should have some very soon and try searching for Don Cothran on the web, he also makes them. Don't get a 2240 breech, they look similar but are definitely not the same hook-up.
I'm building my black stocked pumper with a Crosman 1399 rifle stock, BSA red-dot sight, metal barrel band and solid roll-pin etc etc. Should be a nice lightweight shooter real soon.

Updated.....see first post.... :0 :0 :0

Bildo....Did you order that forearm online or did you have to call Crosman. I need one of these. Already pinch the heck out of my left thumb. Man that smarts. Also, What scope and mounts are those?
-
I called Crosman to order.

Thanks Bildo......This is going to be a fun shooter. Who does the best tunes on these? (i.e. Flat top Piston, Valve, hone air cylinder, trigger work etc). I think I might want some one who is experienced do it then I can maintain it. It would be great if it was someone on these boards that I could pass the work onto.

That is a good deal. I changed my post after the update, good shooting.
