Title: Cheating the co2
Post by: markjs on May 31, 2020, 01:22:58 PM
The guy from Central Wisconsin Outdoors Enthusiast channel uses handwarmers for his 2400KT in the cold.  Brilliant idea!  IDK how to properly link a video though. (Or maybe I do?)

I've often thought that something like electric insole warmers might work well for something like that.

When too cold PCP, I have been shooting CO2 in upper 50 degree weather, as long as one paces shots such as in a pesting situation they do OK.

BackRoads,

"as long as one paces shots such as in a pesting situation they do OK"

I didn't know about CO2 being wonky until I tried stuffing and shooting as fast as the flies appeared on the target. When shooting too fast, even in a single shot TalonSS, the POI would drop 1.5".

Looks like my QB78 valve locked in the heat yesterday, seems like not enough hammerspring to open the valve after being in the heat for a few hours. Brought it in to cool down, will give it a test fire before heading off to work today.
