Title: 22xx pinned valve
Post by: Piranhaboy on May 02, 2020, 10:51:36 PM
So I’m finally out of co2 carts. So I figured I would finally convert my 2250 to pcp. Well when I went to drill the valve the tape I put on my drill bit slipped up when I did the first hole and I managed to drill through into I think the throat (area on the non pressurized side of the seat). Any tips for sealing it up. I was thinking some red locktite?

Blue or low strength purple if you insist on sealing it...don't "really" need to as it'll only leak a small volume during the shot cycle. Try it and judge what's needed.

Ok I’ve got it filled to 2300psi to leak check over night. I’ll see how it works tomorrow.

This is the 4th valve I’ve pinned and I was just being too cocky or something. Stripped the little breech screw, dropped the safety spring and ball, and then managed to nick every oring when I put it together.

Well it held air all night. It only leaks a small amount of air outta the screw I drilled through. But I threw the stock transfer port  in and it’s not sealing worth a darn. Hopefully find my poly tube to replace the stocker.
My whole hope for this project is to make a gun that I can fill up with the last little bit of pressure in my tank before I get it filled.
