Title: Barrel twist rate question
Post by: KDX on April 16, 2020, 11:22:36 PM
I ordered a Red Wolf HP in .22cal that has the polygonal barrel. I'm guessing it has a 1/17 twist rate, but am not sure. I want know the correct info when I'm setting the data up in Strelok Pro. Does the regular LW barrel in the Red Wolf (non HP) have a 1/17 twist rate? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if anyone here knows as this is their (Daystate's)new barrel and they are not talking. Perhaps someone who has one can measure it?

Per info. I picked up on the DOC (Daystate Owners Club) site, the new ART barrels and HP's are 1:17 RH twist and the standard (not HP) are 1:16 RH.

I have the .25 Red Wolf HP limited edition.

Simon from Daystate returned my questions. The Red Wolf polygonal barrel for the .22cal is 17:1R and the regular version for the .177cal is 18:1R.
