Title: Tuning Wildcat Compact
Post by: kn1ght0wl78 on April 12, 2020, 08:45:51 PM
Last night I installed a Huma regulator into my new FX Wildcat Compact.  It was pretty straight forward with the exception that I couldn’t find a bleed hole on the tube for venting.  I assume it vents through the original adjustment hole for the factory regulator.  My first setting at 150 bar only net me 785 FPS with the JSB heavies.  Unsatisfied with that number I readjusted the Huma to 160 bar and have the HS 1 1/8 turns from bottom out which net me 840 FPS.  Groups are dime tight at 27 yards.  Not bad from 775 FPS out of box.  After 4 mags I was at 160 bar left in the tube.  I also shot the JSB Hades 25.6 grain which ran at 920 FPS with the same HS adjustment.  Now maybe I can run those instead of the heavies saving on air consumption but still maintaining accuracy and some gained power.  I’m thankful for all of the posting made on GTA.  There’s loads to learn for a newb like myself.  Happy Easter everyone.
