Title: Finally got to send a few down range.
Post by: Smokeyybear on April 02, 2020, 01:46:39 AM
Finally, after having my Ruger impact max .22 for about a week , I got to zero in my scope and have a little time throwing lead . I spent the week trying to rush through things so I could shoot and every night it got too late to start shooting in my backyard ,but finally day I got to zero in the impact max , which I bought a Simmons .22 mag 4x32mm rifle scope for and I’m very pleased with the results for not having shot a springer in 5 plus years.

Shooting at just over 33 ft.
Using cphp 14.3 grain

Here’s some pics of my backyard setup

And my targets that I used to zero my scope
Top target was opening shot , bottom target was after final adjustments.

And just something I thinks awesome the back side of my pellet stop (1/2” Douglas fir plywood)

So what did you guys shoot or tinker with today ?

Are you able to shoot right from those bags with your RIM? I tried with mine and wasn't working so good. Let me know how scope holds up, I've got the same and was afraid to mount it on mine.

Yeah I shoot from the bags in a chair lean over a bit keep the bag about 2 inches from the edge . I think it’s a better scope than the stock one , and I’ve always had good luck with the higher end Simmons on my powder rifles so here’s hoping it holds up to the springers abuse.
