Hey everyone! Been a good minute since I posted here lol. Any how my was shooting my maximus today and noticed it was draining quicker than normal, well I checked and their air escaping out of the fill nipple. Anyway I can fix this with out getting a new part ? If not how easy is it to remove and replace the fill nipple ? Seems rather straight forward but I don't wanna mess it up any worse. Also yes I've had it for a while now so it's way past it's warranty lol.
Thanks !

Comes out easy with a wrench. I just wrapped the threads in teflon tape
and re tightened it and it stopped leaking. Yes pretty straight forward to do. :)

So was yours leaking from around the fill nipple or directly from it? Like if i put my finger directly on tip of the fill nipple thats the only place i feel the air leaking from

It's possible your fill nipple valve didn't seat correctly when you filled the gun last - perhaps a bit of dirt wedged under it? If it's leaking through the nipple you might try pumping a bit more air into it before replacing the nipple. Just a thought. I don't do PCP.

Sometimes a drop or 2 of pure silicone oil 10 wt or so, in the nipple before filling will flush it out and help lube it too.
Otherwise simple fix if needing replacement.

TKO web site recommends putting a drop of silicone oil on the nipple intake every so often to flush and lube the valve stem and O ring inside before pumping. There is a picture on their site showing how the valve and O ring can get corroded and leak out of the intake hole of the nipple.

I just had the same problem with my Maximus a few weeks ago. The fill nipple removes easily with a wrench. Take the insert out and check the O-ring on it. That was the culprit with my leak. New O-ring has it back to holding air great. While you have it apart put some teflon tape on the threads before reinstalling the fill nipple also.

Mine needed new Teflon tape.
