Had another good day with the .25 Uragan today. I was focused on groundhogs most of the afternoon but still had the occasional pigeon and starling targets of opportunity. I was flinging the Varmint Knockers 34 grain hollowpoint slugs and guess they are doing alright as I connected with a loud pop! out to 95 yards on several pigeons. A few starlings also took a hollowpoint with devastating results.

My first groundhog today took a slug to the head around 40 yards and fell back down it's steep hole. I couldn't pull it out but it was laying there stone cold. There's a hungry fox in the area that will likely be dining on it this evening.

There is a hay barn I'm helping clear out the groundhogs that have tried to take over. Amazing how good a digger these groundhogs can be. This pole probably doesn't have much dirt left supporting it.

Connected on this next groundhog when it stood up to check out it's territory. It guess it didn't detect I was in it's territory either. It just dropped DRT when the 34 grain slug connected.

I was using this old C20 Chevy for cover while watching some holes I know are active. Nothing showed up here today but I've seen em come out so can work on that next time

Ended the day with 4 - saw the farmer on the way out and he was just delighted. He hates the groundhogs "Shoot em all!" he says every time!

Wahoowad, excellent shooting on those ghogs, pidgeons and starlings with your Uragan! You take such nice photos in all your threads! I really enjoyed your post where it down poured on you as you were out sniping ghogs awhile back. Enjoy your posts 👍.

Thanks for reminding me of that day! I’m getting older but that day in the downpour reminded me of many a time when I was much younger and spent all my time outside. Thankfully I was never interested in playing games so literally was in the woods all the time with a BB gun or something

You’re welcome! As we get older at least we are still kindling that youthful fun!

Nice job on all the farm pests! Great shooting on the 3 G-hogs!
I am jealous :) That's a target rich environment with my favorite small game - Ghogs! :)

That is some good shooting on those four chucks... I liked the picture of the one still in the hole most... great setup and rig...

Man, I wish I had a permission at a farm.

From one Central Virginian to another, I enjoy and envy your shooting opportunities. Great work knocking the g-hogs down. Any on a farm are too many. I know they're part of the ecosystem but without enough predation their populations quickly grow out of control. You are the apex predator :)
