Title: Will Scope ring reducer shims (30mm to 24.4 mm) work?

I happen to order single piece RWS mount on Umarexusa.com at a great deal only to realize it was for 30mm scope tube. Wondering if its worth  to make it work with ring reducer shims available or Amazon or return it. Would like to know if anyone has had a favorable outcome using shims on scope rings.

I ordered a set of Monstrum from Amazon. Great fit and finish. No longer made. But others should be just as good. And they work as advertised.

Before going to the trouble measure the scope and the mount.  Many mounts require 3 3/4" of scope tube between the belled ends of the scope.  Many scopes do not have that much tube.
