I have a nitro piston Benjamin trail 22 caliber I called crosman and ask him why I can't get tight groups to sight my rifle in they told me it's probably the scope well I purchased another scope brand new and it's still doing it I'm thinking it to the barrel any suggestions

Have you tried a variety of pellets? It's usually just a matter of finding the pellet/s that the rifle likes. You could also try different holds when using the rifle. Some like a firm grip, some like a looser grip. Have you checked the crown of the rifle for any burrs ? Also, when shooting the rifle make sure the only thing it makes contact with is your hand. If you're using an adjustable shooting rest lay your hand on top of the device and place the stock of the rifle in your hand. Just a few thoughts......

Check that the screws that hold the action to the stock are snug also.
