A recent Field Supply sale on 30 .cal Vortex pellets resulted in the purchase of 5 tins.
I have weighed all 752 pellets and wish to share my findings.
The advertised weight is 44.7 grain and most, but not all, were in this range.
The spread that had double digit percentages were the 44.8 up to 45.1
I have weighed many tins of the JSB and the weight spread has always been more.
I have been using the Vortex brand for 6 months or so and test them against the JSB 44.7. My opinion the Vortex are ever bit as good, and some days better, than the JSB, shot from the EdGun R5.
5 tins cost 56$ shipped with state tax.
JSB from Pyrmyad Air run app 72$ after the 10% discount.
I am not putting down PA or JSA, I spend lots of money there, just reporting my findings.
