Title: Yellow beak down.
Post by: melvin on February 09, 2020, 01:08:39 PM
Out planting some trees this morning and noticed a lot of pest birds out. I took this yellow beak at aprox 40 yards in a tree. His buddy sitting next to him enjoyed the show. :):)

Good shooting Melvin!  They are getting more yellow on their beaks now as it's getting closer to mating season.

I wondered what that meant. I’ve shot some in the past where there beaks were real dark. Just figured it was because they were juveniles.
