Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #7 2019 /2020 is open for business.
* The question was raised "How long does this continue" well, in most parts of the country, March is when the outdoor season begins. So this is our NEXT TO LAST match... # 8 will close 3/1/20 will be the end.*
Attendance was a little down (including my own) but we have been having a great turnout this season... Keep it up guys!
The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.
Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.
The match to run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 2/16/2020.
The 50’ rules and targets may be found at:
http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=114644.0 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=114644.0)

Shucks, I recon. In October I will be starting my 7th decade.

Just a bunch of kids. I jumped in to my 8th decade 2 years ago. But we all can remember " The good old days ". Who says fun is just for youngsters? Not us.

Their is an old saying "It's not the years that make you OLD, its the MILES. My odometer I think has rolled over 3 times the way I feel sometimes.
Lost one of my dogs last week. He was 16yrs old. Been in a stoop since. Not feeling like doing anything. May try some shooting to bring me out of it. Craig
-
Dang Craig, loosing a pet is rough, especially one that has been a part of the family for so long.
My condolences.

Sorry for your loss Craig. I know the pain. I lost a Gordon Setter bird dog years years ago and still miss her.
-
Thanks Ray and Scott. Sure miss him. Craig

Hey Craig,
There a lot of people that do not realize how close we can get to our 4 legged “family”.
I do know how it is and can send my condolences. I had a cat for 20 years and he slept on my hand almost every night for 15 years. So just enjoy all the great memories and remember how blessed you and he were to have each other.
Don

Thanks Don. 20 yrs is a long time, and lots of memories. Craig

Thanks Scott and I am having fun just chasing you guys but don't look back, you might see me sneak up on you.
No pistol this time. Wind has been too strong, 15-25 almost every day but will see what next week brings.

Here are the results from Match 7 tallied.
Well, well. Now I know why Craig (Glassman98) has been riding me so hard to get the results post the stats... (even though I asked him to from day one)
YOU SIR... ARE a machine!
But if you check the scores ... Pop's 76 and I are breathing down your neck in the "Jumper" class... ;)
Wee need a few good pistol scores to beat mine and I feel Craig may have the PCP locked up unless his surgery screws him out of 1st place. ;)
