My new .25 barrel arrived for my Crown Continuum. I put about 3 magazines through it this afternoon, so it still has a way to go before it's fully broken in. And wouldn't you know it, two critters show up! Cousin Meth Mouse and another Rat!

This rat looks like he moved just in the nick of time, it seems the pellet exploded right behind him!

Cousin Meth Mouse lived to see another day as well. I think the pellet hit the fence and deflected it downward. It look like the pellet hit well in front of him.
I guess I need to pull out a tin of pellets and just start blasting away until it settles in a bit more!

Paul, very very lucky rat and meth-mouse! In the second vid, pellet definitely hit the fence and went quickly downward...don’t think it was the barrel or you! They’ll be back and you’ll be ready! 😉

Thanks Randall! I think you're right on the second video. Cousin Meth Mouse was back out there later last night, I really need to be more patient and let him move out of the brush so I have a better shot. He just moved very fast when out in the open! I didn't see the rat again, I have to wonder if he didn't end up with some Hades shrapnel in his posterior! :o

You hit the fence in the first one as well.

Well, you may be right! I went and checked the fence and there was a chink in the protective coating, but there was also a small crater in the paver where the pellet hit! It may have nicked the fence and deflected just enough to miss the rat...

yea, that's gotta be hard shooting through a chain link fence at a tiny target that is quick as a wink, and in the dark!

It definitely increases the challenge! LOL! I try to open the gate so I'm not shooting through it, but it tends to scare the little guy off, no matter how quietly I think I'm opening it. Maybe I'll get lucky tonight if the rain hold off.

Paul, as was said above...very tough to shoot through a chain link fence at targets that move! Anyway, your Raptor will be there SOON and you’ll be having loads of fun playing!!! Critters can wait 🤓👍.

Paul...you'll get them sooner or later ! Those are tough shots to make... thru a fence.
Best Wishes - Tom

Thanks Tom! Yep, he met his match this evening. I introduced him to Mr. Hades. The outcome wasn't pretty!
