I managed to nail me a raccoon right in the head with my Airmax Dominator and it fell to the ground with a BIG plop.

good hunting Wayne! that coon has a beautiful coat. have you ever tried eating one? a hunting partner prepared a coon on the grill and except for it being over done, the meat was tasty. after eating it he confessed he shot it in his backyard, so it was a suburban bandit that may or may not have been eating garbage. :P

Hi Wayne !
That's a nice Raccoon you harvested. Good Shooting on that one.
I haven't seen any raccoons out yet on my forays into the woods during the day.
I haven't spotted any road killed raccoons yet either.
Best Wishes - Tom

Nice shooting Wayne! Do you use a bipod or rest on a tree? I think it was the first time you didn't show the POI :)

Thanks Carl, Tom and Harry !!! Harry it wasn't more than ten minutes later the sleet really started coming down hard, I didn't get anymore pics after that. Carl I kept the hide but I don't like raccoon, I've tried it before but really didn't like it so since then I haven't really tried to cook any up. I shot him right between the eyes though. By the time that I got back to the truck my arm was wore out from carrying it, it was a big one.

Nice shooting Wayne! Some years ago I got one out of a pine tree in daylight. They do fall with big plop

Wayne, excellent shot on that big coon! Had one checking out my bait station last night.

Nice shooting Wayne, that will make a fine hat! Well, a really big hat, a nice coat on the coon too.

Bandit down, nice shooting Wayne. The M16 is a worthy hunter in the hands of a good rifleman!!!

Good shooting Wayne and last day of season too. Luck combined with skill wins the day!

Nice shot! I can't say that I've ever seen a raccoon that was right in the head out during the daytime. Was he hanging out on the "deck" of his tree hole?
