Woot has some Riton Optics on closeout for around half of retail pricing. I can't post links.
Thanks,
Nathan

Good prices!
-
The are said to be made in the USA and equipped with Japanese glass.
-
Looks like they are all gone.

Not sure who is saying this, but it's NOT Riton Optics. Here is the information from their FAQ
Where is your final assembly?
All of our optics have hand sourced Japanese glass and are final assembled in Japan or China depending on price point. We source all of our raw materials and use oversees assembly based on price point.

Bargain Gate is costing me too much money. I snagged one of the MOD 7 5-25x56 units last night. It seems these scopes are made in Japan. I read this in another forum and there is one selling on Ebay right now that clearly displays the "Made in Japan" along with the serial number on the bottom below the turrets.

Thanks for pointing out the FAQs. The other discrepancy I have seen even in reviews is the purging (nitrogen vs argon). This was answered in the FAQs. I saw one formal review where they stated that "All Riton Scopes are nitrogen purged" and at the end of the review documented that this scope was Argon purged.

Wow! I am ecstatic!
I saved a ton of money .... ::)
There are NO more! They were all sold out!
-
Too bad I just saw this...been looking for a cheap ffp scope to try out lately.
Thanks for posting!

I was floored by how nice this FFP scope is and decided to get a second one.

I'm using them on PCPs so I don't know how they'd fare on springers.
Way nicer than the Spectrum 4-14 that was on sale for the same price around Christmas, though Crosman's backing would surely be welcome if there were a warranty problem.

And they're back up again. I took the bargain bait this time....got 2 for the price of a Leupold EFR so we will see...

I picked up the RT-S MOD 5 GEN2 4-16x50 when they were on Woot the first time. Pretty heavy (23 oz) but seems well made, positive clicks on turrets and glass is nice. Had an FBI friend of mine compare it to his Sightron scope at a shooting range and he thought the glass in the Riton was better. According to the FAQ page on the Riton website they are rated for airguns:

They look like good scopes. It says 90-day Woot warranty. Is the warranty with the manufacturer 1 year, 3, or lifetime? I hope it's not 90 days at that price point...

Yeah, this is one of the ones I got, as well as the 4x32. I don't think the fixed parallax will be an issue at such low power. I'll be putting it on the 460L I got. I sure hope the glass is good.. that and holding zero are all I care about.
The Riton warranty is lifetime.
