Title: TX200 .177 12fpe Question
Post by: Bodacious on January 27, 2020, 07:33:30 AM
I'm getting ready to pop in a 12fpe kit from Vortek, into my TX200 MK3 .177. Because of the winter weather I'll be shooting indoors at 20 yards for a couple of months.

Interested in asking, what is you favorite pellet (most accurate) with the 12fpe kit.

My rifle likes 10.3 as first choice with the PG2-HO and also the PG3-HO kits.

Mine shoots the Air Arms 8.44 gr Diabolo Field in 4.52 the best. To be honest it shoots most pellets well, but these are the most accurate I have tried.

The most recent one I done liked the JSB 8.44, 4.52.  Followed by the AA 8.44.

Thanks, 10.34 are best, and 8.4 are a close second in mine.

I use JSB or AA 8.44gr.  Don’t care which, whatever is cheapest.  Don’t overlook H&N FFT or CPL.  All 3 shoot good.  At the time I was working on sight settings, etc. for FT I happened to have a bunch of JSB/AA 8.44gr pellets on hand so I settled on them for the TX200.  The other two pelletsi I mentioned seemed to shoot just as well.  I should probably go back and do more pellet testing but am too lazy.

On my vortek 12 lb kitted tx it's the AA 7.87
With fac power its AA 8.4 4.52 head size.

While you have it apart, put in two new breech seals.  ARH has some good ones.
