This particular one,  has to be my favorite to shoot.

Fully rifled barrel
Tap load
.395 round balls
Functions perfect
Shoots great too!

Albeit I don't have any quite that old... all my oldies are my favorite to shoot. The new ones get all the attention at first but, at the end of the day I grab the oldies.

This one is not marked by the maker, so I'm unsure of who actually would have built it, but it looks a lot like a Pritchard that Rock Island sold.

The gun shoots just over 600FPS with a starting pressure of 500PSI.

The accuracy is much better then I would have expected too! It's very consistent.

That is a most beautiful Gifford. What kind of adapter are you talking about? Do you tether it to a tank?

the Gifford is a C02 rifle
and i have an adapter made to fit the old C02 tube for filling from a modern bottle

Love to have guns of this class!  Engraving on the Giffords sure speaks of a different time.  Such quality.  Just feel like you have to be a serious gunsmith or mechanic to keep these going?  Feel a bit out of my league?
