Hello- Based on the sage advice of the community here, I topped my Daystate Regal XL with an MTC Mamba Lite 4-16 X 42SF scope.
Does anyone know if there’s a reasonably priced side wheel that will be a fit for my scope?
I don’t mind modding one- within limits- to fit it. I just don’t want to spend a bunch of dough on a custom made one. HAS to be black/anodized with durable finish. I can pull my rifle from the safe and measure the side focus knob if that would help.
Also-I have several other side focus scopes that I would like to investigate putting wheels on, different brands like Leupold, Sightron and Weaver. Does anyone know of a manufacturer/website that lists the inner diameter of the SF wheels, where the wheel fits over the knob?
Any advice you can give will be appreciated-

I measured the OD of the side focus knobs on the 2 scopes that I want to put side wheels on.
The knob on my MTC Mamba Lite 4-16x42 measures 32.6mm.
The knob on my Weaver Grand Slam 4-16x42 SF is slightly tapered. Max diameter is 25mm, tapers to 23mm on the outside.
If anyone knows a site or manufacturer who lists the inner diameter of the focus wheels they produce, please post a link!

Did you try Scope-Werks?

They made one for my Mamba lite. Cheap it is not, but it is a thing of beauty! 8) ;D ;)

I dont recall anyone who makes sidewheels specific to MTC but Rowan Engineering makes some universal fit sidewheels as well as paralax levers as an alternative to a wheel perhaps intended for hunting purposes although I imagine they are not what your would call inexpensive but this may be worth considering..
Taken from the MTC website regarding things that will void warranty. Granted your Regal is not heavy recoiling but still worth looking at.
"Damage caused by the use of an additional large side focus wheel under heavy recoiling rifles or damage caused by improperly mounting a large side focus wheel is not covered under warranty."
and
"Unauthorised attachments to a side focus wheel"

Dr. G, you could ask those who have UTG/Leapers side wheels to measure the interior section--these side wheels have foam inserts, btw.
I have 2 but they are thousands of miles away from me ::)
Inquire from this gent (Mr. Nced) as he has modified some of his (IIRIC):

Scope-Werks is an innovative maker of side wheels but they are not cheap!
We do all want to save a few pennies ;D

FYI to the Mamba owners reading this-
I emailed Jeff @ Trenier Outdoors with the following question:
Would you happen to know, or Can you check if the MTC side focus wheel you have listed on your site will fit the Mamba Lite 4-16 X 42 scope I bought from you?
Here’s the one:
https://www.trenieroutdoors.com/optics-2/mtc-optics/mtc-optics-pro-3-5-30x50-side-focus-wheel/ (https://www.trenieroutdoors.com/optics-2/mtc-optics/mtc-optics-pro-3-5-30x50-side-focus-wheel/)
Kevin aka DrGunner
And received the following reply from Jeff:
Hi Kevin,
Yes, it sure will fit. Thanks for asking,
Jeff
$59 is within my desired budget for the part, so I ordered one up. We will see how it fits, and I’ll post pics & my impressions when I get it.
Oh-Other useful data- I emailed Hawke inquiring about the inner diameter of their SF wheels.
Ben Parker got back to me today with the following data:
Good morning Kevin,
The inner hub of the models 63011, 63012, 63013 is 35mm in diameter.
The inner diameter of model 63010 is about 33mm.
Inside diameter of models 63000, 63001 and 63003 is 31mm including the rubber as it's designed, the metal wheel not including the rubber is 35mm.

FYI- MTC makes a 3” Side wheel for the Mamba Pro & Viper Pro scopes. As Jeff of Trenier outdoors said, it’s a perfect fit on my MTC Mamba Lite 4-16x42 SF. Only problem is the SF numbers don’t match, but that’s not a problem because I can still easily see the numbers on the base of the knob underneath.

Hmmm- mines a 4-16. Same knob, or no?
Mine has a cap for the IR on the end with a button @ the center to turn it on/off & adjust the light.
The knob on mine measured 32.5mm...

I have no IR. Also, just remembered, I asked him if the EVX wheel would fit the Mamba lite. EVX seems to be the scope to get. If I go to 16X will probably get an EVX.
