Title: Blue Ribbon scope with elaborate engraving - what is it?
Post by: Schnottus on December 20, 2019, 08:20:37 PM
Went to a local auction with lots of airgun stuff and was intrigued by this scope.  It went cheap so i picked it up.  It says Blue Ribbon on top, has an engraved stag, and its made in Japan.  Glass seems clear and has a plain, very fine, reticle.  Im assuming this is Beeman from the blue ribbon but theres no brand so im not sure. Seems like a pretty nice scope.  Anyone know what this is or if its worth anything?

Other markings:
4x40
Fully Coated
Nitrogen Filled
Image Moving
Water Proof
Japan

I believe that Beeman sold these under their name several years ago. The scopes were made by
Hakko and there were a couple of models available for AG use. The engraving on yours is probably a
one-off.  They had a good reputation for quality glass. A little research might give you a bit more info.
Nice score! There area  couple on Ebay for sale if you want to get a feel for price.
