This year marks 20 years since I bought this beauty. I was 14 years old and and I bought it with my first ever paycheck for my summer work. Did some fun stuff with it. It was brutally accurate - I remember successfully shooting hornets that have made their hive inside our roof. I was popping them from 10 meters and they were just falling down, one shot one kill. Also I shot pencils at 15 meters no problem at all. But than things changed, started to do some other things in life and I kind of forgot about the gun for the past 15 years.
Until this year that is. I have a bit of free time lately so I bought a used HW 77k that I am currently working on and will post pictures here when I'm done. But before I started to tune my 77k, I did a little warm-up and refurbished + light tuned this little baby. New breach and piston seal, polished spring and washers, fresh lube, barrel clean ,trigger polish etc.... And boy oh boy is it accurate now. It is bullet on bullet (and I really mean BULLET ON BULLET) at 10 meters. That HW77k will have to really work hard to match this baby, especially when I get her a new scope.
Anyways, I just wanted to share my old little Slavia 631 LUX. For soo long she was resting in the closet and now, finally, it's her time to shine again.

My 631 Lux is about 20 yrs old also and is one of my favorites ;D

A few years ago I went to Santa Fe with Miss Baby, a business gig for her. Found my 631 LUX on consignment at a gun store there. Not my first love, that would be an old Peak B4-2 under lever, but close.

Nice rifle indeed! Also envious of the wood stock :D
I have a modern CZ-634 with a synthetic stock; one of the last sold on Amazon. It's twangy and the trigger isn't perfect, but as long as I do things right, it's a laser. Only a 10 FPE gun, but I've taken a goodly number of squirrels with it. Any time I can call an eye-socket shot with a wadcutter and drop the pellet exactly right there at 19 yards, I'm going to have a smile on my face. And here in VA, we get some huge honking hornets- they try to build nests in the my shed, and where I used to use a 2400KT to splat them, this last Fall is used my CZ. There's something incredibly satisfying with killing big nasty stinging bugs using a Czech-barrel pellet rifle! ~

Got my blue 634 from Bud's for about a $100. Like it enough I bought another blue one from a friend a few months ago for $60. My 631 is a little better but not much.
The 634 has a little more spring. Someone mentioned when you cock the 631 there's a little free travel before you're against the spring where as there's none in the 634. Once you start cocking it's against the spring. I found that true with my guns.

Hubby was doing the online estate auction thing and ran across a Slavia 631 Lux up for bidding. He asked if I wanted to make a bid on it, but I passed on it. Told him we have too many "project" guns that need rebuilding already and I didn't want to take a chance.
Well, he surprised me. Walked in the door and handed me this nice little Slavia and darned if it doesn't shoot like a champ. Heck of a shooter for the $60 he paid to get it.

Bought mine from a fellow in North Carolina, must have been around 2002-2003. He wanted it for keeping squirrels off his pecan trees but felt it was was a shade too low powered for humane kills. I've done nothing to it. Accurate and a great trigger. Can't beat the workmanship, either.

I think of my 631 as a poor man's 124.

One of the rifles I really regret selling. I would love to have it back. First spring gun I ever took apart.
