I recently purchased two P1377 pistols from Walmart when they were on sale for $23.94. Then I ordered a stock for one of them and today I headed to the patio for some target practice. I had no idea these were so accurate. Both are stock with the plastic breech and plastic rear sight. After sighting in at 10 yards with Crosman Premier Domed (boxed version) 10.5 gr I tried at 15, 20, and 25 yards. I couldn't believe my eyes. Below are the targets. At 10 and 15 yds I used 5 pumps, at 20 yds 6 pumps and 25 yds 7 pumps.

Hi Dan !
Good Shooting !
Nice looking 1377 that you have !
You betcha they are accurate guns !
I used to actively squirrel hunt... with the two that I used to own.
I took some nice Grays Squirrels, with those two pistols, out to around 15 or 20 yards.
I always meant to ...but I never got around to getting the rifle stock for mine ......good move on your part.
Best Wishes - Tom

Dan, these guns will reach 50yds if you want to stretch it some more, they don't slack on accuracy if you do your part. I rebuilt my rear cocker a few years back and this is what I can get at 50yds on a good day for me. You are off to great start, keep practicing, it only get better. ;)

Thanks Tom,
I had no idea they would group under an inch at 25 yards. That's amazing, I strive for that size grouping with all my break barrels. The best group at 10 yards looks like one hole. Believe it or not 5 pellets passed through that hole.

Thanks Kris, the other 1377 has tighter groups than this one. I have two steel breechs coming, one for a 1377 and the other for my 1322. I can only hope that they will at least maintain the current group sizes. Both my 1377 held tighter groups with the 10.5 gr pellet I really expected the 7.4 gr to be the best but they just couldn't hold a tight group. At 30 yards with 10 pumps I was getting 2" group but the wind had picked up and I stopped. When the funds become available I plan to get a longer barrel. I do love shooting open sights. I've shot pb pistols all my life and still shoot them often.
I just didn't realize how much fun these little pistols are especially at under $24.

When I was in my early 20s I began squirrel hunting with a 7" barrel 22lr Colt single action revolver. I had up until then always hunted squirrel with a 22lr browning semi auto. (Shown in picture below)I always had a God given talent shooting pistols and I enjoyed the challenge of hunting them with a pistol. I use a Ruger Mk III now.
I'm feeling confident now that I can began hunting with airguns.

Nice shooting with that 1377 Tom. That was one big red you got there. You've motivated me to begin squirrel hunting with my airguns.
I've got a Hatsan Airtact in .177 that I can group 1.81" @ 40 yards off handed. That will be my first choice when I go. Second choice is a Hatsan Edge in .22 that I can shoot under 2" groups off handed at 30 yards.

That’s some great open sight shooting Dan. I was at Walmart just the other day and saw one of those hanging on the wall behind the counter In the gun section.May have to snag one up for myself here soon after seeing the groups that pistol can do.

Thanks Delmar, that shoulder stock sure helps stretch out those groups. I'm curious with the use of a scope how tight they can become.

Dan, I have scopes on mine and it does make difference in the groups but you still have to do your part with the practice. NC Star or Aim Sport pistol scopes do well on these guns.

Kris, you're reading my mind. I was just about to ask you what scope you have. My steel breech should be here Friday. I have two coming one for the 1377 and one for the 1322.
My budget is pretty much busted due to Hatsan and Crosman's recent sales but a scope is definitely on my wish list.
I tried both RWS Superdome pellets and Super H Points today and at 10 yards 5 shots were literally one hole but at 25 yards they opened up to 1 1/2" the Crosman Premier Domed 10.5 did so much better.

This the scope I have on mine currently. Can't beat the price either.

Nice shooting !
If you take the standard, and very basic, trigger into consideration, the 13xx platform is very accurate.

I have killed hundreds of rats wth my 1377.
With a red dot and an attached weapon light, roof rats had no chance.
I love tracking them while they are doing their thing on fruit trees and bananas.
They also frequent the tops of rabbit cages.
Mine was very accurate with Hammerhead and Eaglehead pellets, a Philippine brand ;D.

Nice groups! I was also impressed with the accuracy of my newly purchased 1322, even as a pistol. Your accuracy with the stock attached adds even more to my happiness with my purchase. So worth the $50 I paid! I'm bummed I missed out on the 1377 sale. It's probably for the best though - I would probably have done what you did and bought 2 and I really don't need 2 more guns... really I don't... :)

I keep telling myself that. It's not working. I keep CLICKING on the bargain gate.

I have a 1377 and a 1322. My eyesight won't let me use open sights any more. I installed steel breeches on both. Put on Crosman skeleton stocks and rifle scopes. I find these make super handy short carbines, and both shoot very well. The Crosman Custom Shop now has the 1377/1322 stzrting platforms, and you can order these with steel breeches, and even Wather Luthar barrels. I would order one with a bit longer barrel, so I could install a TKO muzzle brake for discreet night ratting.
When Ibought myy 1377 and 1322, I paid about $45 each. $28 is a steal!

I still shoot all my handguns (14 power burners & 8 air pistols) with open sights. I'm 66 tomorrow and I'm glad my eyesight still allows me that privilege. I'm considering putting a scope on one of my 1377s and 1322s.
