Title: Nitro/gas piston suggestions?

 What would be a good Nitro-piston rifle for use in Field Target.  I'd like to have one for backyard fun; yet be eligible iin FT competition. Is the limit 20fpe or 12fpe....sometimes the more you read; the more confusing it gets!

Just a thought, but you could get a CFX and install a Nitro Piston.

I've thought about the CFX also; what scope would you suggest?

i dont think you can get a piston down to 12fpe

Get a Crosman Titan with a Nitro Piston.  The gun is rated at 800 fps with lead, but in reality, it would get about 600 fps with 14.3 grain (.22 cal.) pellets, giving your about 12fpe.
