Title: .452 Gargoyle
Post by: melloroadman on August 22, 2010, 01:31:18 AM
Received this about a week ago . Hope to get some glass on it soon and give it a try . Dan sent me 3 valves with the rifle . A low pressure . a standard , and a extra power valve . He said he tuned it to get 680 FPE with the extra power valve . I had him send the rifle to me with the standard valve installed . Composite stock is not a beauty padget winner but it is light . sturdy . and easy to shoulder . Marvin

WOW, Marvin that's some serious big bore firepower! Is there elephant season in California?

Holy cats!
The name fits that bruiser of an air rifle.
More like an air cannon!

Nice rifle Marvin!  Hope you shoot something big with it :)  What do you plan on hunting with it?

I think I 'm next in line for a big bore rifle, now that airgun hunting is all legal in NY state.  The only problem I have is that we are only allowed to hunt small game, and I can take most or all small game critters including coyote with my .25's.  It would be nice to know I can make a body shot though, if I had a big bore.  With the small bores I am limited to head shots on the dogs (and fox, raccoon, etc.).

Might try a porker some day . But these rifles do good on paper when the wind is blowing during the fall and early spring .Marvin
