From a differnt gate:
Had a 13 day trip to the "middle of nowhere" (at least to a city boy): Western North Carolina (cabin abetween Dillsbury and Sliva). Me, wife, and a 66 pond Catahula hound.
But along the way, brought a springer and a PCP as a local guy (vineyard) promised me last year that he could offer some interresting pest-shooting.
OK...some of the critters were likely drunk. Dropped/fermenting fruit on the ground...maybe a few of the critters were a bit tippsy.
So I grought along a FlashPup .22 (about 30 foot pounds) and a .177 BSA Supersoprt (about 16 foot pounds).

Wrapped around a post, in the field, accuracy really favored the PCP. Not enough to make me abaondon the springer at least to 20-30 yards, but way more than enough to make a PCP the oldy real choice for 45-60 yards.
NO real reason to pick 15 sots...just seemed right for testing to find the two worst shots.

Trajectory was really close out to 40-45yards. Not so drastic a differnce in velocity or BC to make trajectoty really important at that range.
So rather than in competition...used them in concert. Springer guy takes care of the little critters out to 30-35 yards...PCP guy takes care of the bigger or father wawy critters. Which off every so often to keep it even.
