I posted some pics. but just saw this gate Here is the low down on Beeman Short scopes.Im not sure of the order but I bleveve the MS-1 WAS FIRST .4x18 No AO. looks like there pistol scope body but had a rifle eye relief.
The SS-1 IS ALSO A FIXED NO A.O.
2.5x18 armored nice small lite weight scope. great for squirrel fast for off hand shooting to 30ys. kill shots closer is better.

SS-1 2.5X18 FIXED NO (A.O.)
GREAT FOR HUNTING ESPECIALLY SHOOTING OFF HAND.
MS-1 or mid. size 1" tube fixed
4 x18 no (A.O.) THESE EARLY NON ADJUSTABLE OBJECTIVES ARE LOW POWER I HAD NO PROBLEM FOCUSING SS-1 ARMORED 2.5X A LTTLE UNDER 5 YARDS EARLY BUG BUSTER?

Had picked up a mint MS-1 a few months ago. Figured it would be good on a Bull pup, pistol or low power yard gun ... NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fixed parallax simply had the image blurry no matter the range ( at Air gun ranges 10-60+ yards ) so with the view being muddled could not stand it and off it went again to be used by someone else elsewhere.
