I so I've been kicking around the idea of getting a new airgun. Theres a few points I'm thinking are a must have and a few that would be nice. I'm thinking either modding my 1322s or getting most likely a pcp airgun. Main points is packablity able to use in cold weather. Nice points would be able to put a airgun suppressor and iron sights and optic. What do you all suggest? Would the 1322 pcp kit be worth it it's a bit cheaper than a marauder?

I am kinda in the same boat. I have shot and handles the Marauder and like it a lot. I also like the Gamo Coyote (is that still being made?). I want something preferably in a .25 caliber and upwards of 30, maybe 40 FPE. It would not hurt my felling if it did not equal a subsonic 22LR. Is there such a thing? I kind of like quality and not made in China. And parts availability for a few years. That all spells Marauder ;) I think.
I shoot a lot of the CCI 22 Quiet. These are great shooters and they are quiet and they produce 45 FPE at the muzzle. They will not cycle in my Ruger 1022 semi-auto but shoot great in my bolt rifles (Savage and Marlin). The segmented version is especially lethal on vermin. So, I figure a Marauder with the right pellet choice should be about as good or very close to that energy level.
I was rural unincorporated but a local "city" annexed us and though I still shoot even my 45-70 in my backyard it is a matter of time until the police folks ask me to stop doing that, lol! And when they ask me to I will certainly do as they ask. In the meantime they know me and my neighbors shoot and they have not yet told us to stop it. But some busy body will eventually complain :( . So, I am looking for something that will fill in for that day, should it come.

James, the thing is, a .25 or .30 caliber PCP can easily make more noise than those CCI Quiets. If you want almost silent, try the CCI Quiets with a suppressor. I shoot trapped raccoons with that setup, and it makes virtually no noise.
Ernesto, what's a 1322 PCP kit? Never heard of that conversion, and I'd have to ask: why bother when there are easier solutions? Also, you need to tell us what you are looking for in terms of power.

It's a kit I've found a few times on ebay converts the crosman 13xx to a pcp powerplant instead of pump but I kinda like the pumping. If I do the mods that I've planned on doing I think I could get in the fpe range I'm looking for which is 10-16. That way I know it's good for small game. I know the stock 1322 could do it but I always feel better with a bit more ompf than the bare min. I just wanted to see if maybe there are other avenues of air gunning I didnt think about before I start up with the mods.

Yes, but the CCI Quiets are a firearm and the Marauder is not. It not noise so much as the method of propulsion. Plus a silencer requires a tax stamp. Which I guess I ought to get one for my collection of 22 rifles, those that are threaded anyways. Right now it does not matter because I am still very rural and the police have not asked us to stop shooting. Actually, my porch where I shoot from is in the city limits and my 50 yard and 100 yard steel is not :o .
Yes, the Quiets in a bolt action 22 are less noise than my Crossman 140 or Benjamin 392, per CCI they are 68 db. So I expect they are quieter than a Marauder unless the Marauder has some sort of silencer contraption. Heck, my 392 makes more noise getting pumped up than my Savage Target with Quiets. On cold days with light pellets my Stoeger X20 .177 goes supersonic with a loud crack! Not only that but the CCI Quiets are very accurate, not a target load but nonetheless very accurate at 50 yards.
But I still want a strong shooting quality air burner 8).

I'm not looking for power on par with my 10/22 with cci quiet. If I could that would be awesome. I'm looking for kinda near Benjamin 392 seeing how hard it is to get one in my state. That's why I was thinking my pcp seeing how my ffl dealer can get them easy. But I'm thinking modded 1322 mite be cheaper.

The 392 is hard to get? I see them listed on line in the new synthetic stock. The 392 is wonderful, glad I found two woodies on closeout for $59 ;D. Once in a rare while, I get lucky. The more I shoot them the smoother and stronger they get.
But that said, the Marauder is very enticing. Do you want a pistol platform or a rifle platform should answer your question. Me, I am a rifleman.

They are hard to get in my state most places dont sell them and most online stores cant ship them here its annoying kinda thinking of taking a trip to Wisconsin. Best part is I have a a firearms license and still cant get one lol. Me personally I like short barrel rifles but full size ones are fun too. I find airgun pistols to light and so I feel like a sway too much aiming.

As I understand it, airguns over .177 caliber with velocity over 700 fps are considered firearms in Illinois.
-
Yep you are right it not worthy an even with a firearms license it's still hard to get a 392 I think there are a few places selling 397 and I know 1377 just came back after 2 years
-
What do you want to use it for? or did you say and I missed it?

Personally I would go with a P-rod before trying to convert a 1377. Jmo, but it's way more money in the long run and still won't stay with the P-rod. If it has to be .177, you could go with a 1701 I believe? The pp700 also may be worth looking at although I have no personal experience with them. I do know they can be gotten in a Canadian sub 500fps version and modified to your liking. If your wanting a rifle there are boatloads of options

For me it would mainly be plinking small game and post control. I have 2 stock 1322's just debating on valve mod and longer barrel. Or save up and figure out how and where I can get a p rod i my state. It's a hassle in my state to get the fun airguns lol.
