Title: October 24th at the state land I got one red

I did manage to see a couple of fox squirrels while I was out there but both times they snuck right up on me and noticed me before I did them :(  I did manage to nail one red way up in a big tree that I had been watching going back and forth out on a limb to it's hole in the tree and during this process is when one of them fox squirrels had snuck up behind me too close and spooked 8)

I also did a 40yard 3 shot group leaning against a tree.

Wayne, nice shot on the red! Those fox were lucky you were preoccupied with that red!

Good 40 yd shot group.  Nice Red.

Better luck next time.....on the Fox Squirrels.

Thanks Randall, Tom and Dave !!!  I'm going to go to the same spot today but try to keep a closer eye on the ground around me cause those fox squirrels are on the ground a lot but the reds spend most of their time in the trees.  I've got my Shoebox running right now but the tank should be full soon.  I'm going to try getting there at twilight for an early start.  It's supposed to be really calm today also . . . the Shoebox just shut off and I had to go purge everything before finishing this reply 8)
