Post by: glassman98 on October 18, 2019, 10:33:41 AM
Has anyone used ARH one spring in there 300? If so, what is your opinion of it compared to the two spring set up. TIA  Craig

Yep, all but one of my rifles has the Artic spring, and install mine non set.  I can't tell a difference really on the action other than some of the rifles will gain a tad of Fps with the one,

Well maybe I got the horse behind the cart again, I pertinear get excited when I see those FWB letters together.  I have several 300S models sorry not any of the 300 straight up model.  I have used the Artics in many 300s,

For future reference, here are some pictures I have of the springs.  I find the Artic springs I have fit the rear guides tighter.  And also deburr the springs so they won't gouge the steel guide.  ARH had these on sale a few times the last few years, you can buy three for the price of the dual set.

Jason, thank you for all the information and the great pic. I think mine is a 300S. It has a 17.500" barrel, cocking arm has a spring loaded latch instead of a button release. Where did you get all your spare parts? Here are some pic's of the bench rest stock I am making for the gun. Thanks again.  Craig

Stock looks good.  Air rifle headquartes has the parts for a rebuild, other than the cast ring for the piston.  Most likely it can be used again, I have only seen one that was worn.

We build, we fight, have a couple Sea Bees that live here in the township, one is a high end stockmaker.  That should serve you well,
