Upon disassembling my Benjamin Vaporizer (Nitro Piston Elite) I discovered a small amount of damage to my piston seal. I ordered the NP2 seal but discovered that the ID is much too large. Does anybody know where to get a replacement piston seal for this gun?

I'm a bit confused. Are you saying the seal is too large for your compression tube? Or are you saying your compression tube is larger in diameter than the seal? Can you measure the inside diameter of your compression tube or perhaps the outside diameter of your old seal? It would help a lot. The price of the gun implies an NP2 gun but it is billed as a Nitro Piston Elite which may be a different animal entirely.

I am sure there is a hole in the middle of this piston seal - so there is an OD and an ID
I ordered a seal from PA for future use on my NP2 ( to save on shipping because I ordered other items )

The OD is fine, the ID where it presses onto the piston is way too large.

Crosman should have piston seals for low cost.

If it pops easily off the piston, you might be installing it backwards... been there, done that.

Did you get the seal from Crosman ? It looks like you have to order the whole piston assembly as they don’t give a separate number for the seal.

It's not surprising the seal won't fit. I don't think the Nitro Piston Elite is the same as an NP2. Contact Crosman. Tell the person answering the phone you want a parts breakdown (EVP) for your gun - the Benjamin Vaporizer. Explain your problem. They may even be willing to send you a new seal under warranty at no charge. If not they should be able to make an electronic copy of the EVP available to you. You may then locate and order the correct seal by part number.

What is the I.D. of the compression tube?

The Benjamin Vaporizer is made by BAM in China. They also make the Trail NP XL series rifles.
There is a good chance that the Vaporizer uses the NP XL piston seal, B22-04-1A.
The NP2 and B22 seals differ only by the ID; .75" for the NP2, .525" for the B22.

Thanks to an older post from PEngineer I found the Benjiman number for your Vaporizer. It might help for getting the correct parts or parts break down from Crosman.
