Title: Prod adventure.
Post by: DeutschKSK on August 06, 2011, 07:25:29 PM
Going to keep this short and simple.. went out to my friends house, he lives about 30 mins away from me.. in a nice location where no one will bother you for shooting unlike here in *(&^. He's got a nice 80 yard range set up.. but his street is a dead end and is pretty much straight for the most part. I took my prod out to 150 yards first scored some hits.. wind was fighting me the whole time.. Next I took her out to 200 yards, 200 yards!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long ways for this little gun to shoot.

I was shooting JSB 15 grain pellets at about 620-30 FPS the 18 grain pellets go at 600 FPS I know that for a fact. I made a video of shooting at 200 yards, nothing special just had the camera under my bipod. I only got 2 hits in at 200 yards, the 1st hit barely did anything to it, I heard the impact.. I call it out in my video.. but at about 2 minutes I get a perfect center mass shot on my target ( juice bottle ) went through one side of it.. just knocked it over.. made one *(&^ of a bang too, I was very impressed with this carbine.

I shot a different rifle later on at 250 yards that was even funner..

The scope I have on my prod is the SWFA 10x42.. it has over 100 MOA adjustments.. I cranked it up all the way.. 2 mil hold under from center at 150 and 4 mil hold over from center at 200. If I had a more powerful rifle with this scope on I could sight in at a further distance no problem.

The video is still being processed but here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBMaivlACyI#ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBMaivlACyI#ws)

Once I get out there again I'll do this again, hopefully with more luck! :p

That's some serious leg stretching! Looks like that was an enjoyable experiment. Kept waiting for the zigging ant to do something funny......

I don't understand the point of your video. It was focused on the ground the entire time...

LOL I'd miss every shot then. I'll give it a go though.. I'll make some 80 yard vids here at my house some time.

The video may not have a ton going on but it shows you're excited with your purchase and I'm always glad to see that on these forums. You're modifications are really cool too, but I think I've already mentioned that.

PUT THE VIDEO CAMERA ON THE TARGET AND GET SOME CHEAP FM WALKY TALKIES AT WALMART OR RADIO SHACK TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR BUDDY DOWNRANGE.
