SteveP-52 emailed me a few days ago and sais he had been cleaning out a bit. Knowing that I had an Hatsan Airtact he asked if I would be interested in a spare stock. (The Airtact is shipped only with a synthetic, all-weather thumbhole stock. It has forearm screws with star washers that eventually will eat through the stock.) So I said I would love to have a spare stock. Steve said he would throw in some odds and ends parts that I might could use also.
He emailed me the tracking number the next day and that it would arrive Thursday.
Fast forward to Thursday, UPS tracking say it will be here Friday.
All week I had been rushed at work and Friday was even worse. When I finally got home Friday evening I was bushed. 6pm should have been home at 4pm.
As I pulled into my garage I spotted the package. I got out of my pickup and unlocked the door reaching to scoop up the package. Uh, this is heavy I thought as I carried it into the kitchen. (Steve had sent a modified trigger for my Hatsan Edge to me last June and had add a tin of Sniper Mediums he wanted me to try.) I figured he had add a tin or two of pellets thinking that would account for the unexpected weight of the package.
I grabbed my knife and quickly open the end of the box, pulling out an inner box I opened it also. Inside to my amazement was not only the Airtact stock but some pins, springs, a trigger pack that looked like it came out of a Striker or Edge and not two but four tins of pellets. Three unopened and the other with only a few missing. And when Steve packs pellets, not even UPS or FedEx can damage them.
I was one happy camper until I noticed that there was another box inside the outer shipping carton. As I pulled it out thoughts began rushing through my mind. I couldn't be, it wouldn't be , YES it's a rifle, and not just any rifle a XISICO XS-25 from Flying Dragon Air Rifles and inside the box lid was written with a black marker the chrono fps of four different pellets and full tune 11/15/15 and a signature that I'm pretty sure was Mike Melick.
Now tell me that ain't generous.
I was speechless.
I still can't believe it. I only own low-end stringers. This rifle from SteveP-52 is now my most valued air rifle. Thanks again Steve.
