I believe i have a steel mold for my 45-70 but I see there is brass and aluminum. Which throws the best bullet and best durability? Thanks

I have a few Lee aluminum ones and they work well.

I have been buying the brass ones when I can however the aluminum ones do work good after preparing the mold correctly, I've had the steel molds before and they're excellent however the pellet molds that are available are only available in aluminum and brass from NOE.

Al. Molds heat up quick and are much lighter than brass molds, but will lose their heat quicker than brass if there is a lag time in the casting process.
Brass molds as already said are heavier, but retain heat very well.
I have’nt bought a pellet mold yet, but have used NOE bullet molds for years in Aluminum.
Either type will cast great.
