Title: new rifle
Post by: s500 on September 25, 2019, 10:03:11 PM
I am thinking of buyin a new air rifle. I currently have a air arms s500 fac. It is unregulated but extremely accurate. I love it.
I am thinking about getting the new s500 that is regulated. I have also been looking at the s510 xs. I am also looking at fx crown. I would like to hear your opions on which is better and why. And which is more accurate in 22 caliber.

Don, you really cannot go wrong with any of your choices! I recently ordered a JSAR (Jefferson State Air Rifles) Raptor in .22. It will do 60fpe as it was built on a .30 platform. It is a little over 6lbs and comes with a 350cc carbon reservoir, which can be upgraded to a 500cc one but will get 80 high power shots with the 350cc. It comes standard with a Lothar Walther barrel and can be upgraded to a TJ non choked that shoots pellets as well as slugs. It comes on an AR platform so you can change out grips, butt stocks. It is very similar to a WAR PCP whom the owners used to work with so you are essentially getting a custom rifle for base the price of under $1300. They tune it to your specs before shipping making sure it shoots accurately FYI. Give it a look or call them! Have fun deciding on one...that’s the fun part!

I would be interested in the S500 if you  were wanting to sell it.

You could install a regulator in your AA S500.

But if you buy an FX Crown (which is also a great option), why not get it in 25 caliber?  That would allow you to explore a new dimension of airguning.

I don't own, or plan on owning any of the 'big dollar' offerings. But if I ever do, after purchase customer support and parts availability would speak volumes to my choice.
My suggestion would be to make contact with a potential seller and ask questions. Their response, or lack of, will be a good indicator of things to come.

RAPID AIR WEAPONS ... RAW .30 .... but if you have to .22  if you spend that kind of money get the best + it's American made ...

check out SG  impact vs RAW vs crown    at the 9 minute mark he shoots the RAW .30
