Michael I REALLY like the 217-20-RF mold, I shoot a lot of them these days from my Liberty and Freedom, they shoot fantastic and I doubt very much that you won't like them too :D

Do the Hunters come with multiple pins like the Magnums?

Yes they do Brian . . . the last mold that I bought I got it in aluminum, I think from now on that any mold that I plan on using a lot will definitely be brass, I almost forgot how much I like a brass mold, especially because they don't need the break in time like an aluminum one does.  I have never over heated one either and all my brass molds still work fantastic.

Cool. They're not mentioned on the Hunter's page like the Magnums.  What are the weight ranges for the various pins?  I think there was a general description of the pins, But I can't find it...

I was so hooked on my 19.6 grainers I never even bothered casting with the heavier pins, I'm serious about how well they shoot, they're just as good as the JSB 18.13's if not better in my guns IMO.  They are a heck of a lot better for hunting too because of the meplat, it's not like a hollow point but in between a round nose and a hollow point.  I've had the Hunter magnums fragment at 30 yards through a squirrel skull but they were doing about 38fpe at the muzzle too, I shoot the hollow points from that gun now, those things will tear stuff up big time.

Is the "20" in the description the lightest 'theoretical' weight with the longest pin?

On paper I think that's what Bob figured that it would be but in my case the 19.6 grain is the ideal size that mine spits out with the longest pins.  If I start with good clean pure lead that's what my scale reads on the ideal ones.  That's about all I've been shooting lately but I'll be getting my Airmax back out again and using the 27.5 grain hollow points in it, I really love the scope that I put on that gun to begin with, it's a BSA, it's got really nice glass in it.

After a LONG wait for this mold to get back in production I finally got to order one.

you'll love them no doubt Bob, I'll be shooting my 19.6 grainers from both my Crosman 150 and ATI Freedom this morning. The last few days I've been out I've had a lot of close up shots I couldn't do with a scope and my pistol would have been very handy.

Wayne I've got the 217-20 in brass it's the one that cast the hairy pellets :o lol. I got the aluminum cause the brass one gets pretty heavy or at least to me it feels that way. I may have brought on the hairy pellets from drilling my spout a bit bigger.

Matt you know that wad cutters are generally for close up, the hunters would be a better choice for shooting 30 yards or more.  I like the idea of the wadcutters for pistols myself.

The wad Cutters would be used for my attic range only so max 10y.

Matt those 25 cal wadcutters aren't bad as long as you don't shoot them much over 700fps, any higher and they aren't much good for accuracy.

My mold will probably be here by the time I get back from the state land, I'll be using my 27.5 grain hollow points in my Airmax Dominator . . . that gun flat out rocks with those hollowpoint slugs in it.  I figured it was over due for squirrel season.

Wayne any idea how fast you are shooting the hollowpoint slug?

Yes and they won't work without being resized, too big.
