Its been a really long time since I've been able to get out and do some serious shooting....If it wasn't my health it was my rifles...if it wasn't my rifles it was work....So, with hunting season nearing and me feeling a little better these days I got a chance to get out there and do some extended range testing of NSA slugs that I received a long time ago but, because of the aforementioned reasons was unable to give Nick any feed back...I'm really late but, that has no effect on the excitement level I have about NSA ammo....I am very, very happy with how ALL of the ammo I have gotten from NSA over these couple of years and these 260 gr DB, HP bullets are even better than most..(admittedly, I haven't gotten my hands on the 235 gr yet, I can only imagine how good they are)...but after trying a few different types and brands of ammo this morning, the 260 gr HP, DB's are most promising...
I shoot in real hunting situation, non tethered, no sand bags, situations...and that's because I'm only interested in the hunting potential of my rifles and ammo...here's a 3 shot, 75 yds group I shot off the Caldwell Deadshot tripod. More to follow.....

Looks like your dragon claw is ready for deer season. Nice shooting.

Nice group! Unfortunately it clearly shows that if you miss a shot...it ain't the gun! LOL!!!

That's really impressive. Is the gun stock or has it been gone through?

Wow. Head shots only?
Do you know what fps were these going?

Airguns are basically low velo, low energy impactors which means shooting the largest caliber at the highest velo will get the job done much better. Pellets/slugs kill by disrupting vital organs and bleeding not by "hydro-static" effects like PB guns doMOSTLY. The longer it takes for the animal to die the more the meat takes on the "nasty taste" of tissue destruction hormone/death by products build-up...samo-samo with a "bad shot" from a PB gun.
A head shot will kill the animal almost instantaneously and stop that process which makes for a better tasting steak.
I think that if you are going to kill something to eat you OWE it to yourself AND the animal to dispatch it quickly with NO lingering pain.
I've been killing for well over 65 years and some of the things I've seen STILL sicken me...done by people calling themselves "hunters". I'm not sure whether I would ever use a AG to take game the sizeof deer/antelope not matter what the caliber unless it was within 40-50 yds and I could get a clear brain shot AND the AG was capable of <.75" accuracy and highest energy at that distance...it doesn't take much energy to kill with brain shots...I've kill many deer with 22 shorts back in the day.
It is easy to calculate projectile energy, but most calculate it at the muzzle NOT where the projectile is doing its work...which is where you SHOULD calculate it. Owing to the low BC of most pellets, THAT calculation is MUCH lower...but I have hardly read anything where hunters take that into consideration.
One thing that should be understood by ALL hunters is that energy increases at the square of the velocity and directly as the projectile weight increases...in other words, higher velos produce higher energy quicker and heavier projectiles might reverse the process...YOU HAVE TO DO THE MATH AND THE TESTING.
I think that in today's world AG'ers should start addressing the ethics of hunting with low power weapons...but that is still to come as the "newness" of larger cal AG's is foremost...whether or not AG'ers will consider this is probably the same as PB'ers do...hardly ever sad to say.
Good Hunting. is
