How fast are different weights of pellets I'm getting about 780 with jsb 14.35 gr is that normal or slow 18 gr jsb were 740 . Any power mods besides turning up the reg.

I’m around 795 with JSB 18’s and 835 with the 15’s, but I got one of the early Gauntlets and my regulator output says 1250 psi. I never checked it though. The 15’s are just slightly more accurate for me. In general, my Gauntlet is extremely accurate, especially after the trigger work I’ve done.

I'm running a tad slower then I'll have to look into it

What does your regulator say for output pressure? 1150 or 1250. Two of my friends got Gauntlets and they both say 1150 and they shoot a little slower than mine but they are still very accurate. They have found that the JSB 14’s are best in their guns.

I don't know haven't pulled the bottle out to look at the regulator yet may have to test it and see

Doesn’t it say right beside the gauge?
-
It could I haven't looked at it yet have it out in my shop where I chronoed it I'll look tomorrow

How far is the tube safe to I have another bottle and reg set higher close to 2000 I think I'll have to retest the set pressure but I don't want to be unsafe
-
Mann, don't do it. The .177/.22 Gauntlet valve can't take 2000psi, 1400psi is really pushing it. It is only held in by two little screws. The .25 Gauntlet has 3 screws and some have pushed them to 2100psi. You don't want your valve blowing out.
-
Good to know I won't

Lower power plinker is the way it will stay then

Good choice but don’t think of the Gauntlet as low power. I took 17 groundhogs last summer with mine. The longest was 70 yards. Accuracy is the most important part. Our friends across the pond are limited to a lot less power than the Gauntlet and they hunt successfully. If you really need more zip, JSAR has a kit that will safely accomplish this but my vote would be to leave it alone if it’s accurate.

It's just a lower power plinker in my collection is all

Just to be clear, modding it is fine. Mine shoots JSB 18s at 860 and Crosman 14.3s at 940 no problems. I am running at 1400psi and I also opened the ports. I was merely pointing out that since the .25 caliber has been out, some people think that the regulator numbers are the same and they most certainly are not. With some simple mods these guns are awesome, heavy and long, but awesome.

Guys
Here is my 22 Gauntlet info,
Gauntlet
CMHP 14.3 gr = 5 shot av = 934 fps,
JSB 18 grs = out of pellets,
Kodiak 21.14 gr = 5 shot av = of 806 fps,
JSB Jumbo Monsters 25.39 gr = 5 shot av = 754 fps
JSB Ultra Shock 25.39 gr = 5 shot av = 749 fps
H&N Rabbit II 25.62 gr = 5 shot av = 700 fps
The OEM reg set point was 1280 psi when checked, was stamped for 1150,
corrected the bbl POI shifting problems and now I can get 1/2" - 3/4" 5 shot groups with 14.3 CMHP pellets,
at 40 - 50 yds+, defending the cluck cluck house/feed from the food robbing Starlings/Hosp's etc.
Real pleased with it now........

I'm at a 100 fps slower for the 25.39 jsb. I ordered a super tune kit for it

Mark
My Gauntlet is basically OEM,
I did align all the TP holes to get a straight shot of air, deburred everything, polished the hammer tunnel,
and the other parts etc,
I have been testing the reg set point to 1320 psi, seems to provide all the power I need, very accurate with CMHP ammo,
I haven't reshot all the pellets to check the fps with 1320 reg set points, now I have to figure out an SSG for it and get it tuned etc.
Once I got the POI/POA shifting figured out, cleaned up and locked down, she is behaving like she should....... ;)
Now, on to the SSG problems................

Well my regulator said 1100 so I bumped it up to 1250 about with a small shim and tested it next I'm going to polish the hammer and wait for the super tune kit to come

Hajimoto productions super Tune and trigger from Jefferson State Air Rifles with Reg Upgrade from Haji will let these rifles shine with the best for accuracy!
I have a .25 that Haji did the work on and now I have a rifle that will compete with the best at 100 yards Bench rest .25 Grains at 900+FPS and in Field Target with 16 Grains at 740 FPS (did both at PA Cup)!
Yes I have found a limit to range with pellets at about 125 yards but hey...that is why there is such a buzz about Raptors now coming on the market.
