Title: Taipan Veteran Questions
Post by: redcobra04 on September 01, 2019, 08:43:09 PM
I received my Taipan Veteran Long on friday. My rings won't be here til
Wednesday So tried a 5 pellets thru it make sure it functioned.  Got the
lever changed from left hand to right side. But its louder than i thought
it would be. Looking at a DonnyFl moderater for it. But i dont want a soup
can size moderater on it. Also cant find any help on how to use the single
adapter. Any helpful info from Veteran owners would be welcome. Thanks

I think there tuned quite hot out of the box so can be detuned to drop sound too. Should check over the chrony first. The Sumos work great on them though

As for single shot tray pull the lever back and slide the magazine holder back then insert it and then close the lever and should work. If not you need to flip it around as there's a hole for the magazine holder to go through

You think it’s loud because there are a lot of things going on right by your ear. I have owned a standard veteran for more than a year. It’s a .22 and when someone else shoots it, it’s plenty quiet. The Taipan is the only pcp I ever owned that after cleaning the barrel, I never touched a thing for over a year. That includes my scope settings. Crazy. And it’s my 100yrd gun.

I have the Veteran long .22 and it's extremely quiet. Basically just a ping is all you here and from 20 yards away you cant hardly hear it shoot. It is shooting the 18 gr JSB at 935 or so.  Mine has the DonnyFl Tatsu on it and fits just right. Not too big or too small.
