Title: Extended air Reservoir for HW 100
Post by: USMCSgt85 on August 29, 2019, 02:44:26 PM
Gentleman,
I recently purchased a second hand HW100. While I'm astonished by the accuracy at 30 and 50 yards I was thinking of improving the weapon via the air Reservoir.

I see online that a firm by the name of Fenton sells extended air tubes for the HW 100. Has anyone had any dealings with Fentons or these extended air tanks for the HW 100?

If I put a regulator in the tank I can fill the tank up to 250 bar and have that regulator output set at a 150 bar and then the normal regulator on the HW will tone it down to 110 bar and I'll get an estimated 74 shots for fill.

What are your thoughts gentleman?

Many in the UK and Abroad use there tubes ... if they ship to the states JUST DO IT.
The factory reg is IMO more than capable to do 250 bar .... Whats the worry with ANY HPA system with a reg is, IF the Reg FAILS and the parts downstream of the reg get subjected to the full pressure ... WHAT HAPPENS THEN ???

I have FREQUENTLY though about this.   Potentially not 8) depending on the particular airgun design and components.

I have a HW100 in .177 which is about 2 years old. Initially I was getting 40-45 shots per fill. Presently  I am getting 65-70 good shots from a single fill at 3000psi. I  am shooting 10.4gr. pellets at 865fps. (17.1 fpe). You might first try Scotts(Motorhead)  tutorial on setting PCP regulators which is a stickied topic at the top of this gate. At this setting, I have excellent accuracy out to 55yds. shooting Field Target. Best of luck!

That's true, if I turn down the regulator and lighten up the hammer strike I'll get more shots for fill but the muzzle energy goes down to. I'd like to keep the muzzle energy up to where it's at at 22 to 23 pounds of muzzle energy.
Fentons and the rat works both make extended cylinders. I was just wondering if anyone had made the conversion and powered their hw100's up.

You might want to check out the Weihrauch Owners Club. I'm sure you'll be able to get some info on the extended cylinders.
