Title: Are barrels more or less picky with slugs?
Post by: Blutroop on July 28, 2019, 11:09:15 PM
So everyone on here knows how picky some barrels can be with pellets. I’m curious about slug barrels shooting cast bullets though. I understand needing the proper twist for the given weight of a bullet as I shoot powderburners but within the proper range for given twist I suspect barrels will be less picky as powderburners are not as picky. I would like to hear from anyone shooting slugs though.

Weather you buy swaged slugs or cast your own, the quality will be better than most pellets. There is the task of slugging the barrel, and choke if there is one, to find the best fit, and just like pellets there will need to be testing to find the proper combination for the best results.
