Title: SPA B1400
Post by: HueAirgun on July 17, 2019, 11:43:27 PM
2 days ago i got my hands on a B1400 (in Brazil). Looks like the US version is the winchester 1400cs.

However, mine is in .22, should i expect the same positive reviews from the winchester (in amazon at least)?

Here goes some pictures from the gun after tearing it down.
Sadly the trigger is NOT adjustable. Any idea on how to make it lighter? I think only sanding will help

That is a nice looking rifle . I am not familiar with repairing these , but found an old thread with a trigger assembly that looks the same, & some tips on the trigger. I hope this helps you !

I can't be certain it's the same trigger as on my (Daisy)Winchester 1100s because I haven't disassembled mine yet, but it LOOKS the same.

If it is the same trigger, there are 2 mods. Thread links below.

Confirmed, price back to $59, so once again same price as many WM stores (no-scope version).

I feel bad for enabling my fellow air gun addicts... but when mine arrives today I'll forget about that pretty quickly ;-p

Quick summary for those who haven't read through all the related threads:

Full sized break barrel spring piston air rifle with good open sights. No scope included with this specific package.
I'm getting 10 shot groups inside a nickel at 30' using the stock open sights.
Good lockup and a solid thump shot cycle with only a hint of spring twang.
Trigger is average, but there are some options to make it better (sear preload screw, lighter trigger blade spring).

Synthetic stock with NO hollow resonances.

IMHO a decent entry level spring at $59 and a steal at $29.

Hope everyone who gets one enjoys shooting it as much as I do :-)

Thank you both and unionrdr also.
I've managed to reassemble the trigger completely, however, its worse than before. Probably the springs are bent and getting in the way of the sear.
