A friend called me from Denver last month and said he was at a second hand sporting goods shop and that they had a consignment of over 200 air guns and that I should come and check it out. So of to Denver I go. When I get there I cant believe it theirs airguns in barrels airguns in racks,on the floor laying in corners, so I ask if they have a FWB 124 Sport he says they had 2 sold one last week but should be one some were so I start looking.I find a Beeman R10 put it on the counter, next i find a nice R7 put it on the counter then a Walther LG a HW35 are you kidding me Im in heaven then I spot it a FWB 124 Sport Wow it looks brand new no sights but has muzzle break. So I stop looking and start dealing, lets see if it shoots it did, asking 375 bucks I offer 300 out the door he says OK. So I only had budget for one gun had to leave the others for next time. When I get the gun home cleaned it up put 2 drops of chamber lube in chamber ran patch down bore came out clean, no signs of ware on gun I dont think its had more then a tin of pellets threw it. Mounted a Athalon 3+12+40 scope on it and started shooting WOW very easy to cock nice shot cycle and a real tack driver.Ran a string of 10 shots threw chrono. Its shooting JSB 7.87 at an average of 720 fps with a 6 fps spread over 10 shots Im at 7400 ft.so Im very happy with those numbers. This gun is a real keeper and is every thing I had herd about it. Almost forgot the serial number is 12400 thought that was neat.

Good find ;)

I believe I’d get in some trouble with my financial director if I went into a shop like that... now... where exactly is this place? :P

It looks like you found a great place to buy some used airguns. Whenever I am at a pawn shop I am told the same thing, which is “we sold X amount of exactly the thing you are looking for”.
I guess it’s supposed inspire confidence, and increase the chances of you coming back again.
My skepticism aside, it looks like you found a treasure trove of airguns.

I'm glad there are no stores like around here....kinda'.

Seems like when it rains it pours... :D
So how many guns did you pick up? We want pictures! >:(

Hey Potpie,
All things considered, I think you showed great restraint ;). The only metaphor I can think of is .... Airgun Porn ..... I don't think would have made it out with only 1 ::).

Your FWB has 12400 not as a serial number unless it is a series number--it must be older than mine with serial number 12400206.
The stock is different as you can see from recent FWB Sport photographs. There's a basket weave pattern with a very dark and shiny surface finish over Beech.
The velocity on yours is lower, mine is 850 fps. While advertised figures generally include super light weight pellets of alloy compared to real lead pellets, like your pellets, it seems your velocity is just below my velocity (with the same pellet) in the HW 35E: 753fps.
Sights are standard on the new Sport, along with upgraded safety (I looked over your safety) and other dit bits.
You have the generation before mine! And you also have the best in FWB as I've found out with mine.

Yes I cant believe I left with just one gun but my wife knows me to well and limited me to just one gun this trip. O well there's always next time. Sorry guys have to keep this place a secret till my bank account cries mercy. Not sure what year this gun was made but mine has plastic trigger witch I think was on early models. All I know is that Im in love this gun is almost as easy to cock as my HW30 and is just as accurate as my R10

I think I can add to that list of great finds. Last week I purchased a Feinwerkbau-Sport 124 imported by Beeman's Airguns San Rafael, Ca.
I got to shoot it a few times today. I'm pleased with its accuracy. It is complete with sights and has a checkered grip. It is a lefty and my wife has laid claim to it, Lilly is a lefty.
